Kolmården, located near Norrköping in Östergötland, features animals such as playful dolphins, majestic birds of prey, impressive gorillas, chimpanzees, tigers, brown bears, and elephants.  Their cable car safari that provides a bird’s-eye view of roaming lions, giraffes, and more is a highlight for many.

Nordens Ark wildlife park in Hunnebostrand, Bohuslän, north of Göteborg on Sweden’s picturesque west coast, is open every day of the year.  As a dedicated private non-profit, their core mission revolves around saving endangered species and championing biodiversity.

Öland’s Summer Oasis For Families

A World of Wildlife in Eskilstuna

Parken Zoo in Eskilstuna invites visitors on a journey through the animal kingdom.  The zoo showcases creatures from every corner of the globe, including leopards, otters, mighty lions, ancient tortoises, nimble monkeys, and charming red pandas. 

They’re open from mid-May through mid-September plus select days in late October and early November, celebrating the spooktacular spirit of Halloween with zoo guests.

Skansen, on Djurgården in Stockholm, was the world’s first open-air museum and stands as a testament to Sweden’s rich tapestry of history and culture.  Visitors can stroll among historic buildings, relocated from various Swedish regions to recreate the bygone eras.
